Well usually the first sign is a missed period. But about 5 days before your period is due you can take a test but don´t expect too much....
If you test and it comes out negative wait a until your period is a week late and try again...
First Response Early Result is the most reliable pregnancy test, delivering the earliest possible results. First Response consistently detected 12.5 mIU of hCG (an early pregnancy hormone) in product testing, making it the most likely pregnancy test on the market to detect pregnancy on the first day of a missed period (95% of the time in product testing). Plus, reviews say that First Response even detected hCG levels as low as 6.3 and 6.5 mIU, soon after implantation -- even before a missed period. First Response is available in one-, two-, and three-strip kits. Experts say that two-strip kits are best, since most women will want to test twice, waiting a week before the second test.

Five days is the very earliest yes. Two weeks after and a test at the doctors will give you the most reliable result.
Good Luck!

I found out 9 days before my peirod was due, which was 6 days after ovulation. I bougth these early pregnancy tests online. The line was so faint though that I didn't believe it at first. I won't test that early next time because it made me first trimester drag on forever, and because I was so early I had to keep it secret for weeks.

Within the first week or two but it varies for everyone. Some don't know until two or three months. Some people get symptoms right away, some take time. It really depends on the individual but if you really want to know, to to the doc and get a blood test.

5 days before your missed period. Most pregnancy tests do them that early. However I would recommend waiting until you have actually missed your period. Testing early is not always accurate and can actually cause false positives.
