Well if you're a person that believes in the whole god creating everything theory he made adam, eve, steve, willie, roy, brnadette, hakim, Juanita, Thuy, robbie, etc.....It doesn't really matter what order they were made in. If you buy into the adam and eve populating the world thing there was certainly a lot of incest going on. In fact if eve was created from adams rib and they were getting it on that's pretty creepy too. So if the god you are referring to created an incestuous society then why in his name would you think he could care less about whether there was same sex physical intamcy going on? Think about that!

God made people to reproduce and the ones that want to do. Not everybody wants to reproduce if they did the world may not be inhabitable due to over pupulation. Its natures way of balancing itself out and there is nothing wrong with someone being happy with another person of the same sex. People that think they are really should find something better to worry about like why God is letting these wars go on and global warming. How does someone gay affect you? They dont! There is enough hate and crime in the world today do you think god would have wanted that? The bible says thou shall not judge thy neighbor so its not your place to worry about adam and steve.

as a gay christian i understand and respect (altho not always agree) with biblical refrences that are used in a non-pro gay way (the reason for me saying non-pro is because i dont think its ment in a anti-gay homophobic way!)

however whilst im happy for people to qoute the bible i must admit the adam and eve/steve does rather iriate me.

the reason for this is simple theology;
This is a story about Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!! I have heard and read that in so many different places. The fact is that it was Adam and Eve. In "The Good Book", Gomes writes the following pertaining to the creation narrative:

“…the authors of Genesis were intent upon answering the question ‘Where do we come from?’ Then, as now, the only plausible answer is from the union of a man and a woman…The creation story in Genesis does not pretend to be a history of anthropology or of every social relationship. It does not mention friendship, for example, and yet we do not assume that friendship is condemned or abnormal. It does not mention the single state, and yet we know that singleness is not condemned, and that in certain religious circumstances it is held in very high esteem” (pages 49-50).4

In other words, Adam and Eve is the only relationship that would make sense for this specific account. It is a story about creation, and only a procreative (i.e. hetero-sexual) relationship would be appropriate for this particular story. If someone, in spite of this, were to base his or her opinion of homosexuality on the Creation story alone, their stance would not only be out of context, but also based on a weak argument.

i hope this helps you, god bless dear. please reply, i do rather enjoy theolgical discussion.

may the lord bless you and keep you,
lots of love, josh

...Keep note of what Adam supposedly had to do -until- Eve supposedly came about. Probably had a go at the type A model, don't you think? And yeah..your bible encourages incest...twice... Adam + Eve...then later Noah and like 6 other people or whatever.

Adam and Eve just means that god created male and female. That doesn't mean that he didn't create people with different sexualities like gay, bisexual or straight. You know there has been alot more people on the earth since Adam and Eve were created and who to say that Adam wasn't bisexual and also liked Steve.

yes, you're right. God made ADAM and EVE.

God also said that we will be judged on how we judge others.

Or, did you skip thru that part while on your bible soap box?

Remember that when you are at the Pearly Gates... you will face youre entire life and watch it from the beginning like a movie. How will you explain your horrible judgement of others when no one judges you?

If I were you, Id stand there and keep my fat, ignorant, retarded mouth shut and let God do all the talking.

He will explain why he made Adam and Eve, AND why he made gay people.

Are you gonna argue with him then?

I don't think God made Adam & Eve - Its such a sleazy adult store. God has better taste than that.

Does it matter what someone's sexuality is? Doesn't their character mean much much more. I am as straight as they come. My best friend is gay. It is already in my will that if something happens to me, he will raise my daughter. Nothing to do with sex. He is just the best person to do it. Better than my family.

Live and let live.

you know as a woman I would think you might have a problem with adam and eve seeing as how adam was made in god's image and eve was made from adam... its just a prelude to how the bible makes eve and most women less important because they were made from men and not god... and what did you think adam was doing while he was alone by himself... he was learning to love men...

This is one of the oldest arguments, and it is one of the most ignorant statements those against Homosexuality use.
If you believe that Adam and Eve were the first humans, great. But if you are a true Christian you will believe that God made all humankind and therefore he made Steve too...just a little later.
You may not agree with homosexuality, but you can't deny that God made them.

Below are two links I think you should read. And I pray you are enlightened that your attitude and beliefs are so wrong and NOT according to His Word.

"It is only in the past half century that human sexuality researchers and mental health therapists have determined that homosexuality is an unchosen, unchangeable sexual orientation that is normal and natural for a minority of adults".
- a quote from the secopnd of the links
