There are no planets on Earth. Earth belongs to the solar system in which there are 8 official planets.

A planet is a huge ball of dirt, like Mercury, Venus, Earth, or Mars. It could also be a huge ball of gas, like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, or Neptune.

There's one other planet now, out in the Oort cloud. Starts with an E. But we're back up to nine again.
