i am sure everything is fine. if the doctor isn't concerned you shouldn't be either. Ob's are very cautious and they will do everything necessary to ensure the health of you and your baby. if the heart is beating, their is a sound. i am sure you will hear it soon. good luck to you.

No it doesn't mean that anything is wrong. I'm 11 weeks now an I had the same problem I still haven't got to hear my babys heartbeat but the doctor says that everything is fine. The baby at this point is just so small that you can't hear the heart beat yet.

I'm almost 12 weeks now and I can't hear a thing with the doppler, though I've seen the heartbeat twice now and heart it through the vaginal ultrasound. It's probably fine. I know how it can be scary though becuase I'm at the point where I dont' even feel pregnant, then I can't hear the heartbeat.....but you just have to trust that everything is fine and think positively :)

Are you trying to hear it with a doppler? If so, the baby is still very small and too far down in the abdomen to get a heartbeat. If you are seeing the heartbeat, I wouldn't be scared. That means that it is there. I think I was into the beginning of my second trimester before they could pick up the heartbeat, so I wouldn't worry. Good luck.

Relax!! I couldnt hear both of my babies heartbeats until I was about 17 weeks and my first baby is just fine(im preg. with the other.) It could just be how you are built, the baby could be farther away from the belly. or it could just be flipped over at the moment so its heart is faceing down. Nothing is wrong, the baby is just still really small right now.

10 weeks is still early to be able to hear the heartbeat. If the doctor can see it on the ultrasound and it looks good and steady I wouldn't worry about it. I know at least once during my pregnancy they couldn't hear the heartbeat so they looked at it on the ultrasound and everything was fine. Try not to be scared. If the doctor isn't worried then you shouldn't be either.

nothing is wrong the same thing happened to me. at 12wks my doctor could see the babies heart beating but we couldn't hear it. so they scheduled me to come back 4 wks later. I went on last Monday at 16wks and this time i could hear and see the baby's heart beat, doctor said it was a strong heart beat and that the baby was fine. i would say you have noting to worry about.

No worries hun, just remember as long as you see it, all is well. Everybody and every baby are different, some can hear it as early as 8-9 weeks some don't hear it until 13-14 weeks.

No, I wouldn't be worried. My doctor won't listen to the heart beat or do ultrasound until I am 12 weeks along for that reason. I am really anxious, but then again I wouldn't want that potential unnecessary worrying.

As long as you can see it on the ultrasound, you are fine. At 10 weeks, the baby is very small and may be very hard to find with the doppler.

No, nothing's wrong. You usually can't hear the heart until at least 12 weeks, usually longer. I didn't hear it until 16 weeks. As long as you see the beat, don't worry.
