(So humans wouldn't be mammals anymore, and yes, they would have to keep the egg warm [the one with shells lol] until it hatches )

Judging by how lazy we are, there would be less children.

Then we women (assuming it was the women laying the eggs) would probably walk around with egg crates in our purses and have a hatchery at home. There would be such a population burst that people would be volunteering to colonize the moon, mars and anything else to get off this overcrowded rock.

I would probably not want to eat eggs anymore for breakfast. Fertilized or not.

Do we have to sit on it like a chicken or can we bury it in the dirt and forget about it like snakes do? How long is the incubation period, 9 months? I wouldn't trust any incubator to work right for 9 months, lol!

There would be entire groups dedicated to preserving the lives of eggs. No egg laid would be allowed to be scrambled. We'd have people trying to argue, is it life at egg lay or once incubation begins, and trying to ban the eating of scrambled eggs on the basis that it's murder.

Abortion is about aborting a fetus that is more or less parasitic upon the female. An egg is physically independent of its parents (in most cases, and in the most fundamental sense), so abortion would not exist. We'd probably find some other thing to argue over.

that people wouldnt eat eggs anymore because they would be worried about it being a child and they wouldnt want to get arrested for murder. seems reasonable doesnt it, i know i wouldnt eat eggs anymore.

also i dont think people would have to go through becoming fat cause the egg would just pop right out. and all those lose weight after pregnancy programs would go out of business.

There would be a lot less of us because we have short attention spans and get too busy with work and stuff so the egg would be left neglected. You never know though...the parental instincts just might kick in and make it work.

I foresee people leaving their eggs in other peoples nests so that they can raise them.

I also foresee a tremendous spike in worker productivity....less time off for maternity leave.

You could bring your eggs to work and put them in a box by the radiator.

Human eggs would have to fundamentally change in construction and composition.

Strange question...but I like it.

The world would be in a tizzy to recycle all those egg shells!

i think there would be a huge decline in births especially among teenagers. and maybe an increase in births of older women or career oriented women because i'm sure there would be some kind of incubator available.
