Seriously though I was at last years download festival & never saw a bald artist on stage & that includes those easily in their 40-50 category - have they found some elixer of ever-ending hair..
Are they so vain that they wear hair peices...!!!

There's a fair few baldy slaps around; The fella from Judas Priest, Collins and Elton as someone else said, Kirk Whatsit from Metallica has clearly had something done and like Rossi, actually admits he's had some kind of intervention...
Let's face it, if you were rich enough and wanted to look younger, who wouldn't dabble with trying to look younger, be that nips, tucks or implants of whatever? Especially if you're in the industry where such technically shallow stuff is deemed important.

My favourite rock band Jethro Tull has been going since 1968 and many of the band have gone bald. The lead singer Ian Anderson wears a bandana over his head while he performs, 30 years ago he had long hair.

With the long hair fashion of rockers it is easy to wear a wig as you do not need to hide a join.
The trend is now to shave the head so it is not such an issue.
