Steve? I'm not slammin' ANYONE! I'm puttin' quotes that other people say. That I merely agree with. The name-callin' was at certain people. Not the concepts that they follow.

He's right. Not sure I like the concept but it is absolutely true.

Thanks Buzz. Anyone that has the lyrics to "The Boxer" in his profile is alright by me.

This is so true. Modern day Liberals try an identify with the past, when Liberalism was a noble endeavor. Neo-Liberalism is destructive. It tears down dignity. It doesn't create REAL self esteem, which comes from REAL achievement. It turns government into Daddy.

Neo-Liberals want to redistribute income in a way that would make Socialists drool with envy. The results are in. It doesn't work.

Some Liberal seems a little testy today. A little defensive.

The point is liberals 'think they're doing good when the employ new social programs . Many of them sound good too . but what they continually miss is that it has been proven time and time again that too much help leads to dependence. . . . and not independence . . . . . . . .INDEPENDENCE , hmmmm, don't I know a certain country that was not only founded on that premise, but also celebrates that INDEPENDENCE on a certain day in July ?

Name-calling and insults -- Without naming names(steve and others. . .smile) I will say that some folks can't take any criticism without thinking that it simply must be hateful or insulting . If they're insulted by it, then perhaps they're insulted BECAUSE IT'S TRUE !!

Golly! All you did was quote somebody else, and agree with their statement and suddenly your going back on your word and name calling? LOL!
Proof positive that because you like or believe in a different way, and say you feel that way, because it differs from a liberals point of view, it suddenly becomes all wrong. And liberals talk of having an open mind? UUUUUUUHHHHHHH, yeah right.

But that quote to me says it all about our over burdening social welfare programs. Goes back to that really old saying,"give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life". What part of that do liberals not get. It's way to simple for them I guess.

As evilindependent said, it's only accurate if you replace Republican with libertarian. Core Republican philosophy (not the crap in Congress that passes ag subsidies but the actual philosophy) isn't much better than liberalism with regards to freedom. Liberals want to control everything I do when I go to work, Republicans want to control everything I do when I get home.
