It gets bigger due to collisions with other heavenly bodies. Before the impact that created the moon, the earth was only slighty bigger than half its current size. In fact, the earth initially started out as a clump of dust no bigger than a speck of dust. As for atmosphere lost, it is calculated that the earth only loses around 5 pounds of atmosphere every year due to solar wind. The idea that the atmosphere would just "leak out" into space is fallacious as the atmosphere is bound to the earth by its gravity.

The Earth does collect rocks and dust from space all the time, and we see them as meteors or "shooting stars". This is an incredibly small amount of stuff when compared with the current size of the Earth, but it is there. These small rocks and stuff add a little bit of mass to the Earth all the time, but it's not much.

It does not grow in size. There are tons of meteors falling to Earth every day, and tons of atmospheric gas lost to space every day, but those are so small compared to the size of the Earth that they can be considered as zero as far as any change in the total mass of the Earth in times as short as the age of the universe.

Earth's overall mass increases by about 40,000 metric tons per year. This increase comes from infalling material like cometary dust and meteorites. It's size, however, remains stable.

It gets heavier by scooping up cosmic dust and meteorites. Estimates range from 10,000 to 100,000 tons per year, with 15,000 to 20,000 seeming the most likely.

the size does not change much.. even with a lot of meteor strike every year. but the but it does get heavier.. because a lot of humans..
