As a Giants fan I'd love to say yes... But let's be realistic there's a lot of holes right now and a tough schedule.
1, they lost Tiki - there's no way you can lose someone like that and not suffer a drop in the running game.
2, CBs, Madison is old, McQuarters is average, Webster's unproven and rookies rarely shine as CBs.
3, Left Tackle. No Pettigout and no real answer as to who's replacing him

The improved WRs (Getting rid of Tim Carter was a good move) will help Eli and the front 7 on D looks improved but this team is still a year away. I see 8-8 or 9-7, they may make the playoffs as a wild card but not much more than that.

Next year however... Coughlin will be gone, another year working with the young CBs, improve at LBer andthis team will be looking pretty good!

The new york football giants will not win the super bowl next year for the following reasons:
1. Eli manning
2. Lost Tiki Barber
3. Still have Eli as QB
4. There defense is getting old
5. Team leaders on Offense are Plexico and Shockey
6. Tom Coughlin
7. Eli Manning

Hate to say it but I don't think the Giants are the best team in New York anymore

The Giants have as much a chance to win the Super Bowl as do the Cubs.
Giants + Super Bowl = No Chance

That depends on the competition they are going to face in the upcoming year. Although ther is plenty of practice time, but there are also other teams that are better in training and skill. The toss up to their winning will depend on how well they have conquered the mistakes that was made in the past, and how much success they will achieve in their getting ready for the next year.

No, they are not going to win because the New Orleans Saints are going to win in Glendale. The #1 offense and #7 defense is going to pummel the NFC. Eli Manning is not going to be to blame this year. He will throw for over 2500 yds. and have more touchdowns than interceptions and I think that he will have 20tds-12ints. He also should be able to lead the team to the playoffs.

Not with Tom Coughlin. I mean come on the best player on your team is Shockey next the Barber and he uses him primarily as a blocker. Im sorry but with his size and athleticism at that position you have to put the ball in that guys hands. But Ross will be big in the secondary, which they needed badly, and Eli needs to show some poise.

The first thing they need to worry about is making the playoffs next year. They are in a tough division, don't have a proven starting rb, are old on both ol and dl, and have crap for dbs. It will be a struggle for the G-men.

They will have a better Season then some other teams, but no they will not win the superbowl, they would be lucky to make the playoffs.

I honestly don't think they have the talent. I don't think they'll even win the division as at this point Dallas and Philadelphia are shaping up to be better teams.
