Did anybody see a gas price reduction as a result of the May 15th gas boycott? The prices here have actually gone up about 35 cents...tell me why we didn't buy gas on the 15th again?

It's all evil. They also raised the price of milk too and have not raised the minimum wage yet, so why haven't they ?

The reason why some people didn't buy gas on May 15th, was because of some internet scam saying that if you don't buy gas on this certain day the oil companies will have no choice but to reduce their prices. What people don't realize is that it will have the opposite effect. If the majority of the people didn't purchase gas on the 15th, that meant the oil companies lost money and the only way for them to make up for lost profits would to be to raise the prices. Makes sense to me.

BTW, I didn't boycott.

Gas prices went down a few cents for a few days here and then went back up to where they were. I think the boycott was to reduce gas prices by protesting why they are so high.

I don't know if it really worked. We should do this more often or learn to conserve gas and fill up less often.

People didnt buy gas but they still drove! They needed to buy more gas than usual on the 16th to make up for the driving they did. The big headed gasoline mofos realized that and decided to make a profit off of it.
