How much do you usually spend for beauty products?

I love make up and can happily spend hours going through make up counters and talking about it and trying it on. My fave brands are:
Dior - mascara and pressed powders in particular
Benefit - Dandilion, high beam and show offs.
YSL - mascara
Estee Lauder - foundation, pressed powder, blusher
Revlon - foundation
Lancome - eyeshadow, mascara and juicy tubes
Loreal - eyeshadow and lipgloss
Number 17 in Boots - eyeshadow - plus they do a mega copy of benefit dandilion which is good if you're skint!
No 7 - eyeliner, blusher
Urban Decay - for 'going out' makeup - like glitter eyeliner

I am not sure how much I spend - in relation to foundation/pressed poweder/blusher etc I only get what I need and have one on the go at any one time, but for things like eyeshadows, lipstick. lipglosses (the other day I counted 9 in my work bag!), eyeliners and eye pencils - I have loads, I don't think you can never have too many. Plus the beauty is with the internet, half the time you can kelkoo things and get them much cheaper than the shops (I get the YSL mascara I like £5 cheaper on the net than in department stores/boots). Also - boots is great with the vouchers they give out for £5 to spend on certain brands or something, so I use them a lot when I run out too!

I am trying to make myself feel better and convince myself I don't spend too much on the stuff!!

Clinique is best for skin care. The foundations and powders are best, won't irritate or make skin break out, also very natural looking. I buy Clinique skin care (soap, toner, lotion) and foundation and powder. You pay a little more but get quality products and get a foundation that matches your skin perfectly.

For everything else (eyeshadow, blush, mascara, etc), I just buy drugstore brands, Neutrogena and Revlon are best, but any will do. All you have to worry about is getting good colors.

So, by buying your basics at department stores and your colors at drugstores you can get good products for less. However, take it from someone who has tried everything, nobody can tell the difference no matter what you buy. All that matters is buying flattering colors and appllying it well.

I usually spend about $20 bucks a month on beauty products, less in the summer when I am more tan.

I love Bobbi Brown because her company emphasizes a NATURAL look and all of her products are good for the skin as well. You'll spend about $200 to get started but the products last for at least a year. If you can't afford high end brands like Bobbi Brown, Sephora, or Mac, then do the following:

*It's important to get a GOOD foundation and mascara so spend your money there. Get a foundation from one of the lines listed above.
*All the other stuff, you can get away with cheaper products from the drug store.

You can always use those high end makeup counters for tips though. They'll give you a makeover for free and you can see how they put it on and what colors are best for your skin color.

I buy Clinique not just because I work for them but I LOVE all their products from foundations to eye shadows. They are one of the more cheaper end cosmetic lines but has great quality. I can spend from $13 for an eye shadow up to over $100 if im running low on my stuff, but it always lasts a long time. My first eye shadow that I wear daily ive had over 2 years!

She's now not asking you to prefer colors, she's simply watching for path as as to if you wish to appear typical or extra closely made-up. Do you have a tendency to put on plenty of make up? If so you'll be able to cross a little bolder, however for those who hardly ever use some thing you can wish a extra typical appear in order that you continue to appear such as you. With olive dermis you might do both ivory or white - see what you suppose happiest in.

I am guilty of spending a lot sometimes.

Right now I am really into Bare Minerals, about 8 months ago I bought a starter kit and now can't live without it. I use the foundation every day. I also like Ulta for eyeshadow and lipstick and gloss, Revlon for mascara and eye liner and Avon for skin care (I love their Renew line).

i currently like stila and mac. mac is really good for shadows and eye liners but i wouldn't recommend it for foundations and concealers only because they tend to look cakey and heavy. i don't spend much, usually under $15 each item because my sister is a make up artist and gets 40% mac products.

If you are looking for something cheaper NYC is a good brand, but if you have more to spend MAC, in makeup you get what you pay for most of the time.

MAC--a good choice, professional products for a medium price range $20-75
their tingling lip gloss and their eye shadows are my favs

chanel and dior--expensive but worth the splurge $20-125
their perfume, creams, lip gloss, and moisturizers work great and look great too

maybelene and cover girl--good for a low budget $5-120
the mascara is amazing for the price and the lip gloss
