I don't think that. I think women should always have the option to get an abortion. I wish we could limit abortions to responsible women, but there's no way to do that. Sometimes there is an accident (which in some cases can be fixed by the morning after pill) but sometimes you can't catch the accident fast enough and we need to have the option to not have a child if we aren't ready to give it what it needs. We don't suck a fetus out of us because we are irresponsible, selfish women...we do it because we're worried we won't be capable of raising the child properly at the time we happen to get pregnant. (this doesn't go for all women though) I wish people would leave the matter alone. If it offends a religion, the people following the religion won't do it. Don't mettle in the affairs of the real world. Keep your religions to yourselves, please.

Because there are legitimate medical reasons for terminating a pregnancy. This may not be believed by some people, so I ask them to look up "epignathus", which I consider a valid reason to terminate a pregnancy because neither fetus has any chance of survival - better to let the parents try again. However, I oppose the use of abortion as a birth control method if it is used "casually". Remember, an abortion is SURGERY even without the moral implications, and surgery should NEVER be taken lightly. As it turns out, the statistical indicators are that the demand for abortions is down because of the use of contraceptives - which is the real way to go. This does not include rape or incest - for that I feel abortion is unfortunate, but justifiable.

I'm not answering this from a religious perspective and I would never judge a woman who made the decision to abort a pregnancy. It has been my experience however that later in life the same women begin to grieve for the lost baby and suffer mental health problems. Maybe adoption is a better way in some instances (though not all) and this way a couple who long for a child might be given a great gift. Also, the birth mother knows that somewhere her child is safe and happy and she has the option to find the child at a later date. Stopping the right to have an abortion is not really a good idea but more counselling before the event might be.

For one thing... the "world" as you say, cannot stop abortion. "The world" is not an entity with power to make policy changes. There isn't a person or people who can make changes in the legality of abortion for the whole world, which is the way it should be. People in different countries have different beliefs and needs for abortion.
To be blunt: No the world should not stop the right to abortions.

I don't. It isn't for me but I would never tell another woman what she can and can't do with her body.

No contraception is 100%, I got pregnant while on birth control as did many other woman.

Adoption is lovely and many people can carry a child for 9 months and adopt but not all can.

So we should go back to when terrified girls would get back ally abortions? So rape victims should have to prove they were raped to get an abortion or be forced to carry their attackers child? Because even though it is insanely cruel to both mother and child with a birth defect that will cause it to die shortly after birth too bad for both? So little girls who are sexualized from an early age by society and don't know any better get the crap beat out of them because their abusive parents found out?

I never want to see abortion outlawed.

As an adult who was adopted as a child, I feel strongly about this. Life begins with conception. If you mother or father, in their old age, became a bit of a pain in the ass to take care of, would you kill them? Not me. So why is it okay to kill new life? There are many many families willing to adopt and provide a good life for children. The ONLY time I think is MIGHT be okay for abortion is in a case that would kill the mother. Any others, there is no good reason other than your own comfort.

No person or group of people has the right to tell anyone what to do with their own body.

I find it particularly sickening that those trying to change the abortion laws consist mainly of fat, uneducated, right wing men.

Making that kind of decision is like being 1 of the 3 people who plays a part in giving a convicted murderer the lethal needle....... I don't want to play a part in deciding life or death on neither end.

I believe abortions are wrong only because the baby inside of you is its own person. They aren't able to make their own choices, which is unfair. They didn't ask to be born. There are people out there that have sex, get pregnant, have an abortion then start the whole process over again. I only believe in abortions when there is no possible way a person can raise that child. i.e.: money issues, homeless....then again that is what ADOPTION is for.

because there's women like me who can't conceive and would love to have a child. Those who can have kids just throw that gift away due to their own selfish reasons. Why they don't go for the adoption option,i'll never understand. Maybe they just don't want to lose their girly figures.
Oh and I also think the world should stop abortion cause it's murder. Plain and simple.
