no

Carr was good when he had time to throw....but the o-line was terrible and doesn't appear to have gotten much better

Why, in your great opinion, do you think he's enough of an upgrade at QB to make up for their terrible line play?

note- my apologies......

Nope, Schaub is going to make no difference to that team whatsoever. He's less mobile than Carr and has far less game experience. They won't do any better than 6-10 with Schaub and look for him to get close to setting the record for number of times being sacked in a season - a record held by Carr, I believe. Texans fans better hope he's as tough as Carr, because if not he may be sidelined with an injury really quickly.

Yes, however he won't do any good lying on his back, which he will be all season. The Texans didn't just need a QB but an offensive line more than anything, Carr wasn't a bad QB he proved that when he had time to throw, its a shame the Texans ruined him so bad. Also Davis has pretty much no cartilage left in his knees so they need a great back up that could actually take over for him.

i don't think it was the problem with the QB situation with the Texan's offense, it was more of the Offensive Line. They didn't give the QB enough time to do anything but lay on the ground with 5 defensive players on top of him.

I hope the Offensive Line improve over the off season so Matt Schaub can have time to throw to his Pro Bowl WR.

Unless he can figure out how to throw better than Carr while running away from the defensive guys or laying on the ground I doubt it. They need a better line or no QB will get the job done better.

I don't think so. The problems at the O line has not been address. It not too much Schaub can do while he's running for his life, and you can't complete a pass while you are laying on your backside.

they will do better becaues theyre a young team that si improving david carr is not a bad quarterback he just never had the Oline he needed to have enough time to pass the ball but with improvements they have made to they're D and the RB position they look to be in the middle of the AFC

I think he will do alright but the texans still didn't really upgrade their 0-line and they still struggle at some postitions. At BEST they make a wild card with Shuab at the helm.
