i chose a WATERING CAN..........the question i have is, for the paper model, we must cover it in some sort of unexpected texture.. i have thought of several..including salt, sand, dried mud (to represent a drought)...etc.. also bark, twigs leaves..burnt paper towels.....and even trash (because it is unexpected for someone to nourish a plant with pollution..my teacher hates ALL of these ideas..HELP ME PLEASE

I like your ideas - it's too bad your teacher does not.

I have a few ideas for your consideration :

1. corn starch-based foam packing peanuts: these are the biodegradable kind that melt when introduced to water

2. hair: a complete non sequitor - you could get some cut-off's from a local barber

3. adhesive bandages: easy to do and rife with possible deeper meaning interpretations

4. broken glass: I love the idea here - to put sharp edges on something that you're meant to hold.

Bubble wrap - an aspect of air holding water, like clouds giving rain on flowers

Cotton - something unexpected that would seem like it would absorb the water, while cotton itself comes from a plant that needs water.

Nerf-foam
Velvet or silk or other fine fabric - lace?
