The most popular answer is probably going to be when they get married. Lots of us don't wait that long but it's not appropriate until you are of legal age and I personally feel that it is important to have an ongoing realationship with a partner you can trust. The first time is awkward enough. Extra nerves from not being comfortable with your partner will make things more difficult. It's also very important to have the maturity to deal with contraception and disease prevention. If you aren't able to discuss these issues, you're not ready. If you're not going to stick by your decision to use condoms or other birth control, you're not ready unless you're actually planning on starting a family now.

In my opinion I think the best time to lose your virginity is when you feel prepared, in love and mature. i don't recommend it if you're under 18 because when one is young, one is easily persuaded, pressured and in love or imature.

also if something goes wrong, like an unplanned pregnancy, at 18 you got more chances to have a higher paying job and is the age where at least one is graduated from highschool. at 18 you can decide ifn you want to have an abortion, you don't need your parents because you'll be 18.

but make sure you feel comfortable with the person you plan on losing it with. I also encourage you to fallow your own morals and you beliefs. remember you don't have to give in if you don't want to :)

When they are prepared to become a parent or can deal with choosing an abortion or adoption!!! When they are mature enough to use a condom every single time, to prevent diseases!! When they can deal witht the emotional side of sex and can take being hurt badly by someone. No birthcontrol is 100% effective, so if it's worth the chance or you are totally prepared, then go ahead!

It is appropriate to lose ones virginity when that person is emotionally and physically mature, to make decisions, deal with feelings, and consequences of their actions.

no one should feel pressured into having sex.

When you are completely in love with that one special person...and you know that that person is the only person you want to share that gift with...no one else will have that special intimacy except you two...Personally, I would wait until your wedding night...Its something special between two people that nothing else can compare too.

You can only lose your virginity once. I believe that it should be with someone that you love and plan on spending the rest of your life with. While I realize that is probably oldfashioned, at the very least, it should be with someone that you share very strong feelings with, someone who wants more then just a piece!

Waiting until you have found the right person would be the appropriate time

preferably at age 18. But most girls lose it in their teens from peer pressure and curiousity
