i love dogs and cats but cats are so much easier to take care of. A lot of people say that cats are not as friendly as dogs and not as loving but I don't think that's true, it really depends on how you treat the cat from when they are young, if you treat the cat like a dog, it will act somewhat like a dog. If you leave it alone, it will run away most of the time.

I have a cat and a dog but I can say that the dog is better! She protects our house from burglars(she did that twice so far),she's an excellent friend and she'll defend all the family if someone tries to harm us!The cat doesn't do anything else but eat and sleep! She's very lazy!

There is no better or worse. A dog is a dog, a cat is a cat.
Whether or not it is better or worse depends on your upbringing around animals and possibly a hundred other reasons.
Neither cat nor dog is "better."

I love both cats and dogs. I like the independence of cats and the obedience of dogs. Chickens are also cool pets.

Cats, not that i like them personally, because I dont, but dogs are man's best friend, which means that he wants to be around you and on you ALL the time. Cats are less maintenance (unless you need a best friend than choose the dog). All you have to do for a cat is feed, water, bathe, and very little else.. They entertain themsleves and sleep for more than half the day... what's better? i'd say "here Kitty kitty kitty"

Cats: cats are more independant. As long as you supply them food and water they can take care of themselves. But be warned... whether cat or dog.... they both shed horribly.
Dogs: Dogs are not as independent as dogs... but because the cats are so independent they cannot be trained as easily as dogs. Dogs can be house broken and can be taught with much less effort than dogs. but which ever you choose... go to this link below to find out wich percise breed would be best for you. But you can always go with a mixbreed. they are just as good and loveable.

go to the dog or cat breed directory and choose dog or cat breed selector. with a few quick questions it will choose which breed best suits you.

A cat because you don't have to deal with those touchy feely relationships with a cat like you do with a dog. But you can still say you have one.
