I believe that it is very likely that life exists on other planets.

I believe it is extremely unlikely that anyone has actually encountered an alien. If aliens wanted us to know they were there, we would. If they wanted to stay totally hidden, we wouldn't.

Also it's very unlikely that they have visited Earth. There's not likely to be many intelligent civilisations in the vicinity, and if our current physics is correct, it'd take decades/centuries just to travel between the nearest stars, countless millenia based on our current technology. There'd have to be a good reason for them to visit; if they wanted to conquer, there's plenty of empty planets to provide resources, if they just wanted to talk to us, they could radio. Maybe there's billions of civilisations in the universe, and none will ever meet. How sad...

I assume you are not talking about undocumented immigrants here...

Seriously, I believe there is life in the universe other than what we know of, other than us. No story. I look at it like a road at night, with street lights lighting up intersections, but dark between. The lighted spots represent places where there might be life. So far, none of the other pools of light overlap with our pool of light, that we know of anyway. UFO sightings are NOT proof that there is other life out there. When a spaceship lands on the front lawn of the White House, I'll accept that as proof...

Statistically it is almost certain that life arose independently of Earth many, many times elsewhere in the universe.

I don't think any have visited us though. Even if convenient interstellar space travel is possible, why come to Earth? This is where the statistics are against aliens, or at least their visitation. Of all the worlds in the universe, why visit this one?

Rephrase and elaborate, please.

Do I believe that life in some form exists or has existed somewhere else? Yes.

Do I believe that aliens walk among us? No.

Please, more clarity and I'll give it another shot!

Yes. I don't see why aliens couldn't exist. It says in the bible that god created the heavens and the earth. Not to mention there have been numerous sightings!

If you mean ET aliens, I think they exist on their own worlds but have not visited Earth. If they did, there would be some convincing evidence, but we have only hoaxes and misidentified ordinary things.

100,000 million stars in our galaxy and 100's of thousands of galaxies, and we are the only life in the universe? Only simple minded people would suggest we are alone. Proof or no proof, OF COURSE THERE IS LIFE OUT THERE, maybe not alien as we know it, but certainly intelligble life!!

I believe there is life on other planets. I do not believe the earth has been visited by intelligence from outside the earth.

i belive in life on other planets if thats what you mean, i would say aliens though because when most think of aliens they think of green guys with weird shaped head who fly UFO's, but life on other planets if a definite possibility.

I AM ONE!
Take me to your leader!

On a more serious note. Life elsewhere makes sense. There's no evidence for or against it, but statistically it's a good chance.
