I would like to know what was the most disturbing film you have viewed and, what was the impression it left. For me, it was a toss up: between Claire Denis' pseudo-intellectual 'sex is a cannibalistic act' tale, "Trouble Every Day" and, Gaspar Noe's "Irreversible," a nightmarish descent into hell of vigilante justice gone awry - told in reverse.

The Exorcist. I saw it a few times as a kid and now I'm terrified of it. If I watch it, or even see the smallest clip of that girls face I'm so petrified that there's a good chance I won't sleep well for a few nights.

28 days later. Not for the zombies. The thing that scared the hell out of me and scares me to this day is the soldiers wanting to rape the woman and little girl to repopulate. It was just horrible. What a terrifying thought that if something like that were to happen, the people you thought were good and would help you are just concerned with making more people and dont care how they have to do it. I can handle monsters and serial killer and ghosts, but that really upset me.

Mine would have to be a tie between Hostel and Hills Have Eyes (remake). I cannot believe people enjoy watching others be raped and tortured. I like horror films but these were just in bad taste. You never saw Freddy, Jason, or Michael do such disturbing things in such detail and those are classic horror characters. You don't need to make me puke to scare me. It is the mind tricks that are scary not the blood.

Woah "cannibilism", that sounds hectic! I haven't really watched any intensely disturbing movies because I can't quite handle it, I end up not sleeping for like weeks on end lol... But the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (the second most recent one), messed me up real bad. Also movies to do with exorcisms and ****, I stay very far far away from!

1. Beauty and the Beast

Come on, admit it, there is a certain type of girl that hopes the beast she meets will eventually turn into a handsome prince. This hope is directly based on this movie. And that is truly disturbing.

2. Apocalypse Now--starring Martin Sheen (Charlie's dad)

The Cell. It leaves the impression of what "normal" and "not dark" people fear from those that are. Its an eye opener and at the same time is a movie I own to show to people that have their nose a couple notches too high in the air.
