At Resto, a new Belgian (yes) restaurant in NYC, they serve deviled eggs on pork, french fries with mayonnaise, and other reeeeeaaaalllly high-fat stuff. With beer. Lots of imported beer.

Do you think this is gross? No worse than some chain restaurants with huge portions and lots of fried food? Or do you want to come to NYC and eat there?

Just wondering...

I wondered how it escaped Mayor Bloomberg and the Public Health Commission's notice, too. Maybe the review will get them in trouble. *sigh*

Every once in a while its not so bad to eat high fat stuff. As long as you're healthy and keep in shape you can indulge sometimes. Just dont overindulge. If I lived in NYC though Id probly just go there if there was a party I was invited to that was being held there or something. The other times Id probly just make stuff at home or go to KFC for some high fat stuff that I know Id like.

I don't think it sounds any worse than what some restaurants serve. Pizzas with anchvies and grits with steak come to mind as some of the things I would avoid. I wouldn't look this place up but I wish them luck in their venture. Hopefully some people like their menu.

It's just food! Aren't there more important things to worry about in this world than food and clogged arteries?

Well. No, not really! I can't believe someone opened a restaurant like this in today's health conscious world. I guess it'll just produce more people to buy my DVDs and my meal card plans and recipe books! Anyone want to join me on a cruise?

The question remains: Have you eaten there and had the experience?
It's like going to a restaurant by reading the Zagat. Those people who write the Zagat, have actually never eaten in many of the restaurants; therefore, their opinion is simply "worthless".

If I ever visited NYC, that would be the FIRST place I would go! Not Yankee Stadium, not Times Square - Resto, baby!

My immediate response to my Lil Sweety of whom is sitting next to me at this moment was, "Pack your bags baby! We're going to NYC for supper" ;) LOL and no it's not gross, it's just the opposite, it's Super Duper!

I thought Mayor Bloomberg was cracking down on those high fat/trans fat restaurants in the city?

I only go to restaurants that serve meatloaf. Family places where I can get home cooking or I eat home and try to keep my arteries clear. I'm saving them for my old age.
