Decided to replace it, eh? Yeah, other answers are right, this is a case fan. A CPU fan looks more like this:

Minus the heatsink! I was just looking for a fan, but £5 for both aint bad!
Happy hunting (I searched "cpu fans" to find that)

Just a small suggestion, Pentium D's get awfully hot. Way hotter than today's core 2 duos. As someone already suggested, go buy a new heatsink and fan. Extreme heat not only would kill your processor faster, it slows it down, too. I suggest investing on a heatsink fan that you will still use if ever you upgrade.
Try Scythe Infinity. http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/024/scinf1000.html
Not that expensive really, if you consider that it's high end already.

This is a case fan. It may work if you get it to mount. You probably need something smaller. Usually the CPU fan is smaller, but, the blades have more "Pitch" to move air faster.
Above me is a good fan and heatsink. But, I can see you have a bigger price difference, but, you burn up your CPU and it really get expensive.

You might be better off with the whole thing. Just replacing a fan is tough enough to find the right size.

this is a CASE FAN, not a CPU fan.
