Hi, I have been tested for Chlamydia and will find my results out Friday. I am worried as I just recently found out that my last boyfriend was sleeping around behing my back. This was a year ago. I have been having pelvic pain daily, which also shoots down my legs and pain during sex.

I am worried that if the results come back as positive I will not be able to have children. Has anyone else had this condition and been fine in having a child?

Many Thanks

This is definitely a question for your doctor! STD's like Chlamydia do cause infertility! I am concerned because you said it was a year ago that you may have contracted it, and that you may have been carrying it all this time! It could have caused allot of damage by now and that concerns me. I have not had this problem I am just aware of what these diseases can do to the reproductive organs! Please ask your doctor! Look it up on the web too! GOOD LUCK!

Some STDs do reason guys to emerge as sterile if they don't get it dealt with. The larger drawback is that he can deliver the STD to his spouse if left untreated. Many STDs (I am willing to mention such a lot STDs) can reason sterility in females through inflicting uterine contamination which will scar the tubes, uterus, or cervix. All of those can preclude a girl from conceiving. Unlike guys, such a lot females do not get signs of an STD till it's particularly complex. If he does not desire the STD on his constant wellness list, he must cross to both the county Health or Planned Parenthood to get dealt with. He can then select as as to if he wishes that on his constant wellness list or no longer. Sometimes that is what prevents men and women from getting dealt with. You pays coins. That list does not cross at any place then, no longer even the coverage manufacturer. Contrary to what plenty of posters stated, such a lot STDs don't get handed to the youngster furnished the Mom has prenatal care. The exception, of direction, is HIV. Getting a girl pregnant if the person has herpes with out giving her herpes is some thing he'd have got to speak to a health practitioner approximately, but it surely obviously is feasible.

You are doing the right thing. If your exam is positive, you will need a treatment and maybe a pelvic sonography, for chlamydia can harm the fallopian tubes if left untreated and uncared for. You will also require to be tested for other STDs

If a pregnant woman gets chlamydia, it can infect the eyes of the baby as it is being delivered and cause trachoma, a possible blindness causing infection.

Some stds make you infertile, or can make your baby sick, if you are pregnant already and have an std, your ob/gyn will give you medication so the std won't blind the baby as it comes out the birth canal and it will be tested some time after birth to make sure it didn't obtain it orally when coming out of the birth canal. You should be fine.

God I hate men that are cheaters...anyways! Its true chlamydia can lead to PID, pelvic inflammatory disease, and can prevent you from having children...but if this was with in the year...you could be ok. Just make sure you get checked and let the doctor know your concerns about having children...they are tests they can run...Good luck

Okay if u have aids do not have kids they will have it to and probably die. But if u have any other std the doctors will make u have a c-section to have the baby cause if u have an std and try to have the baby vaginally alot of things could happen to the baby like blindness, inside the womb it could get pnemonia so theres alot of risks
