Yes, there is special food for fish fry (babies). Petco or Petsmart usually sells them. They are very tiny little specks of food that is nutritious for the young fry. You could also crush up flakes into VERY tiny pieces.

Mollies are called livebearers and will have tons of babies, they will even breed in the plastic bag on the way home from the pet store.
Finely crushed fish food flakes is ok for the baby Mollies but they may not grow very much , depends on the size of the tank you have them in more than anything else.

Crushed flakes work very well for baby live bearers such as mollies. There are special foods, but really there is no need for them.

I would crush up the flakes. The fishes are still uses to that. i suggest you separate the baby fishes from the mother and father, they tend to eat their babies.

I always just fed my babies the crushed flakes. They take forever to grow so yours might take even longer. Sorry the mom died.

The female probably died due to the stress of being moved too near her birthing. Female livebearers should not be moved for a period of two weeks before delivering. Don't purchase fish that are very near birthing or move them if they are quite large with fry.

yes there is a special food, but it might be easier if you did just crush their food. the special food is simply just small bits than normal fish food, and just to be safe, you may want to ask your vet or even someone at the place you got the mommy from... sorry bout your loss, but good luck with the babbies!
