I'm gonna have about 20 cats. I've already started naming them.

NO!!!! Quite Frankly -- as a Long Term Single Parent who is FINALLY an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (within the past year) -- I can definitely ATTEST to the GREAT BLISS that is what happens when a Responsible Parent gets to have HER HOME to herSELF ... and that means that the children are OUT of the HOME!
Raising children is VERY DIFFICULT --- and Teenagers -- WOW .. Hormones Raging, Nasty Attitude/Behavior Problems, Disrespectful, Rude, selfish me-first attitudes, never seeing beyond the moment ... you know .. the things that the PARENT has to ENDURE on a daily basis .. where they WANT to make Adult Choices withOUT the consequences that come with the poor choices ..
SO GREAT to NOT have to deal with TOXIC Behaviors, Attitudes, no more do I have to put up with OTHERS showing up and DEMANDING food, helping themselves withOUT asking ... etc etc etc ...
To come home to MY HOME and it is FULL of PEACE, QUIET, it is CLEAN and there are not piles of dishes, garbage thrown down, the bathrooms are clean, less laundry and other things to do .. and yes, it is JUST ME (and I am definitely NOT the one who caused the damages or filth) -- I can FINALLY SIT DOWN, relax, and yes, ENJOY LIFE at this time of MY LIFE!
So .. DREAM ON ... go for it ... and yes, when it happens -- join the BLISS of being an Empty-Nester!

Whats so undesirable approximately being the lady with the cat........did I say that out loud? LOL each and every from time to time i'm the two. i'm older and relying on which grand baby i'm with determines what i'm. Fishing with a bunch of the little adult adult males makes me experience youthful at coronary heart. recuperating from the fishing holiday makes me the lady with the cat!

Cats are cool. You know whats cooler 20 or 30 cats in a small one bedroom apartment.

I don't find it odd at all. . .you have to have something to look forward to when your kids leave home. I plan on being the crazy lady with too many animals (cats, dogs, rabbits).

U'll never be the creepy old cat lady if you have kids. The kids will always come around and people will think u're normal. It's the spinsters with no family that freak people out!!! :)

I'll look for you on Animal Planet's animal cops...when they are bringing out 20-30 cat courpses and you're on the side of the house crying saying my babies my babies....the cops have on gas masks, they're gagging, you can see the fleas just pouring out of the house...AWESOME
