Put some rubbing alcohol on a piece of cotton and leave it in your ear for a little bit, 5-10 minutes. The alcohol will dry up the water in your ear. Most swimmers ear medications are made up mostly of rubbing alcohol. Don't use hydrogen peroxide it will only make it worse.

Swimmers ear is the best off the shelf remedy.

I surf and most of us use this. It also stops the possibility of infection.

Failing that use a standard cotton bud to soak up the residual water.

Wax ear plugs also work well as a preventative.

If you are trying to remove water from your ears turn your head from side to side.

It sounds strange but use your hair dryer. Put it on the lowest setting and put it to your ear... Old southern thing I guess.

It's the same idea as being little.. and getting out of a pool and laying your ears on the hot ground to draw out the water... if you ever did that.. we all did around here.

As mentioned, turn your head to that side. If it not drain easy, I take my finger and poke it in my ear gently. Move it around and it will make a vacuum so when you slowly pull it out it help the water to drain.
