How remarkable that not even Barak Obama gets the abuse the two women get, and we never hear a thing about the others. Are there no other Democrats running?

Baritone singers or Baritone Horns? (Euphoniums) Seriously, it has a lot more to do with their effectiveness (especially in the case of Pelosi) and core message (espcially in the case of Clinton) Both politicians have managed to shatter the glass ceiling already, (although I freely admit that there are those who would like to reinstall those panes at any given opportunity) and they have to stnad on their merits like any politician or risk being accused of asking for favoritism. Hillary has to overcome the fact that she voted for the war. Nancy has to overcome the fact that the Democraticly controlled Congress (just barely) has not managed to make much of a dent in Bush's Iraq War Policy. She has also allowed pork to creep into bills and has already had a scandel over showing a little favoritism herself. Barak on the other hand, has gotten more than his share of abuse, both for his supposed lack of experience, his race, and his background. (His middle name Hussein says all I need to say about that) I would say that the playing field is a lot more level than you give it credit for.

Since there are few women in politics and a very large attack machine constructed by the right I think that they are intent on attacking anyone who they consider a threat to their hold on american policy. They even turned their attack dogs loose on one of their own in 2000. They attacked John McCain like he was a California democrat and insured that Bush would be their next president. They spent millions investigating Bill Clinton and discovered he got a little on the side then layed a trap hoping to force him out of office.

We need a third party in this country that can and will stand up to the attacks from both sides long enough to make real changes in our government and put us back on the path that made us a great nation and earned the world's respect. God help us if real changes aren't made soon.

How pointless! I attack the politics, not the gender of the politician. And you don't even know if I'm "right" or "left".

The Republicans are afraid of strong women... they prefer them barefoot and pregnant.

They deserve everything they have coming to them. They are sellouts to America.
