The welfare system created by the "great society" of the democrats in the 1960s broke up the family structure of black familys by forcing the fathers to leave the home..........now there virtually no tradition of black males marrying the mothers of their children....thus the "my babies mama" society........
also welfare has effectively trapped blacks into a lifestyle that creates poverty, rundown ghettos, projects, drug dealing, etc
Also in the 1960s the democrats got government involved in healthcare...............this one a complete disaster and created massive inflation that is still spiraling out of control..........the corruption, abuse, and fraud involved with government insurance has created a monster.............we are very near the point were only the weathy will be able to afford healthcare or even health insurance..............if the government gets involved , it will soon be broken...........government insurance and welfare are two great examples............

America can overcome anything. First we need to get the bleeding hearts out and put people who believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY IN.
We can wean people off the system by insisting people WORK for their benefits. You know all those low wage jobs Americans won't do? Welfare recipients can do them.....at that low wage and collect their benefits. Just like the illegals are doing now. As they gain skills and self worth they will move up and off the system.
Then the government programs will go to those American citizens who CAN'T--not the ones who WON'T.

The whole new deal program and the welfare program have as you have said caused a slew of problems both economic and social. You get more benefits if you are not married because then the mother and father could work separately and report their income separately for taxes etc. This is just plain truth and it effects people at all the lower economic levels not just blacks. A lot of people in certain parts of this country go on welfare at certain times of the year when they have a seasonal job market. Hence they don't try to look for any other work because they will lose their welfare benefits or health care benefits. You have to make significantly more as a working person because you have to pay for taxes and insurance, so they have to effectively "jump" up a level before working is of any benefit. And you have to make over 40,000 before gettting married will bring you more money than having the mom on state benefits.
This is nothing to do with race. There are plenty of white folks in trailer parks or cheap apartments that are caught in this too.
If there was no welfare, they would have to work from the beginning and they would not see this hurdle as an incentive to slack off which it really is now.
The government will break things more if it tries to fix health care, you are right.

Don't blame black men not marrying the mothers of their children on the Democrats.. that is a personal decision and believe me it is no man, that makes that decision.. it is a fool. any man that would impregnate a woman and not stand by her deserves no sympathy from anyone.
Try not to make it a political issue.. it is all personal. be they black white or purple.
As far as welfare system " trapping" anyone.. again not true... if you are ambitious enough you can get off welfare. it takes work, hard work.. but it can be done. it is too easy to blame everything on the system.. get off your rear ends and get a job, and do what you have to do.

This welfare theory of yours has no point of fact. It is an excuse that has been kicked around for years, but has never been proven. Its the general decline in morality thats causing the breakup of the family.

the only fix for these problems is to end them. if you want government housing food and helathcare go to Cuba
