What type of birth control are you on?
If its depo, lots of women gain weight on it, as well as other nasty side affects.

Try to get in the habit of doing something a little extra when you exercise- cardio is the best.
If the weight gain continues, then go see your doctor. One of the side effects of birth control is weight gain, but it also depends on what kind of estrogen level is in the pill. Ask him/her if a lower estrogen level birth control is good for you.

If you are on DepoProvera, then you can have weight gain. You need to ask your healthcare provider to change you to another type. Most birth control pills should not cause a significant weight gain.

exercise, yes the pills do sometimes make you gain weight. i wouldnt advise cutting back on your food intake, unless its alot to begin with. but exercise is about it unless you can afford a usless lipo.

Have you told your doctor? You can switch to a different pill to see if they also give you the same side effect.
