the fans will pick jordin, but the record producers would rather have blake. here's why: idol wants to make money outside the idol circle; and it's easier to market a cute guy or gal w/ questionable singing abilities to your casual fan or non-fan of idol than it is to market a corpulent or unattractive performer, however talented he or she may be. case in point: clay aiken was a better return on investment than reuben from idol 2; katherine mcphee is more popular than taylor hicks; idol from 2 seasons back got it right on the money w/ bo bice and carrie underwood because both had the look that the music biz looks for. and before anybody gets all self-righteous on the subject, just think of this: why spend millions on visual media (music videos) on a song when you can do it for less using radio airplay? because you're selling the sizzle, not the steak.

I think Jordin Sparks will win. Of the two, she has the best voice, she's got the look of an idol, and she has versatility - that girl can take any song and sing the heck out of it!
I DO like Blake, but I think Jordin will... take the cake!

I really think Jordin will win, although both performances were strong last night. In my opinion, Jordin has the better voice; Blake is the better entertainer.
