If there really was or if there will be a stargate network that would allow people and objects to travel to other planets in seconds, would Earth's 6 symbol gate address be the same as in Stargate SG-1? 28.Auriga, 26.Cetus, 5.Centaurus, 36.Cancer, 11.Scutum, 29.Eridanus For the answer to be yes or plausible, I figure Eridanus or Auriga must be above the north or south pole. I may be wrong.

To describe the position of another planet or any other object you will need 4 coordinates (3 spatial and the time). As far as the stargates go.... they are like the internet. Their addresses are abbreviation of the necessary coordinates. So instead of typing 192.168.0.99 you write www.yahoo.com (moreover the numbers are not constant and changing). Supposedly the stargates keep track of the numbers and assign one constant address to that.

Well, I am assuming you are looking at Volume 254 of the Stargate Address Book which details the addresses of each star within the Milky Way Galaxy, with sublists for each node. As I flip through mine, I fail to see any correlation between the addresses you called out and those listed herein.

Your copy must have been retrieved from the trash or xeroxed some time ago in an illegal manner. I would suggest contacting the StarGate Command Publications Center to get on a circulation list for up to date information feeds. The current cost for this subscription is nominal considering the volume of information provided to you.

Start by going to the link below, and then work your way out to the other links and you will find nonfiction as well as fiction. Keeping them separate is increasingly difficult as many writers now lean on fact to write a story. Hard not to fall in that trap. There are methods of describing your position in space in 3 dimensions and one could chart a course to any star but until we have a developed way to move about the stars it will just be a flight of fancy. If those are light year distances to other stars (your address) seems like a difficult way to do things. NASA(?) sent out a probe with directions on it , as well as other information about our human culture, that I remember reading about. If you can find reference to it, the placard shows how one describes where we are to someone not from around here.

It is completely acurate. Auriga is not located above the north pole but close to it (Seen in Winter) The code is specially made up. It is off by .000000000000000000879 percent. I study the stars and BLAHBLAH BLAH

You do realize Stargate is just a tv show. A good one but still just a show. If a stargate was ever created in real life I doubt it would be just like the show.
