How long did you take the pills before your period started? I've been taking them since Friday and all i'm doing is spotting. Will my period ever come?

The provera is synthetic progesterone and it builds in your body while you are taking the pills, then when you stop taking them about 2-3 days later you will have a withdrawl bleed. The pills are thickening the lining of the uterus and when you abruptly stop taking them your body gets the signal to shed the lining of the uterus. The withdrawl bleed can happen any time between 2-14 days after the last tablet. Spotting while taking the pills is normal.

My doctor had me take one a day for a week and then I could expect it a week to 10 days later.
My friend on the other hand was instructed to take 2 a day untill her period started.
I am not sure about how this works but take it for how ever long your doctor said and if he/she did not say then call them and ask.

hi. My rfile prescribed me Provera for the 2nd time this month. My final day of 10mg (taken for 10 days) replaced into additionally Friday, 10/26. the 1st time that Provera replaced into prescribed to me replaced into in August. After taking the pills, 5-6 days after i began my era.
