I watched a documentary last night, and it convinced me the whole thing was a hoax. I am not usually a person who joins with conspiracy theories, but the evidence was very convincing.

Look, I know you all feel very strong about this topic, and |I put the question in a very light hearted manner so as not to offend, I would have inclued facts and details if I had been an authority on it, or I could have been ignorant and just googled facts about it, but instead I just opted for a simple question, so calling me ignorant or stupid is nothing more than counter productive.

The fact is the documentary was made by Timewatch, who usually do very good research and tackle wars In Sierra Leone, etc. They have won awards globally and I give them credit. They did not state in the documentary that the moon landing was a fraud, but they certainly gave facts suggesting it. In fact, I really hope they did land on the moon, because I have always looked up to the space trailblazers, and I must have watched that moment of the landing a million times. I don't want my own boyhood dreams to have been one big con. But please understand, the question was asked in sincerity, not ignorance

And another thing I forgot to mention. Paddy Mcginty was actually the first man to land on the moon. He was Irish. He flew there in 1920 after drinking 12 bottles of cider. He never boasted about it, except now and again in the pub, so it is not widely known. So to all you Yanks, us Irish were the first on the moon, and Neil Armstrong found Paddy's empty cider bottles and hid them under a big rock. So, if anyone has any punching wants done, we'll do it. I seen that onion head hit someone when they asked him did he land on the moon? He needs to control his temper, it doesn't say much for a trained astronaut punching out like that. Show some decorum, like us Irish. We don't make a big song and dance outta being first on the moon.

If you give an investigative reporter enough time and money they could come up with a convincing theory to prove that your mother never existed.
Yes, NASA really did send men to the moon. Do yourself a favor, and don't ever ask Buzz Aldrin that question. As the second man on the moon he is sick of that question, and has decked more than one guy who asked him how they faked it.
Alan Bean was the fourth man to step on the moon, and he has made a good living selling books of his paintings off the time he spent there. Gene Cernan, Jack Schmidt, Pete Conrad, Alan Shepard, Dave Scott, Niel Armstrong, Ed Mitchell, Jim Irwin, John Young, and Charles Duke might have something to say about it too.
Not to mention that there is no way that you can fool the entire world's press corps like that. Walter Cronkite would have chewed the Oval Office a new one had he even gotten a scent of it being faked.

The plain fact remains ONE DAY China or Russia will go to the moon and might visit that site and if they don't see flag and foot prints and lunar lander legs AMERICA will look like fools.

I don't think America would chance that.

Kennedy, Nixon, the Military, ALL the Astronauts and NASA would go into disrepute, plus RUSSIA or CHINA would then get the distinctions of ACTUALLY BEING FIRST.

That is the biggest argument FOR it actually happening.

You should watch other programs that refute the one that claims the Moon landing is a hoax. Some people love conspiracy theories better than truth. Yes, we did land on the Moon, and there are no good reasons to doubt it.

I think I know the documentary you are referring to, and the explanations for the alleged evidence is even more convincing. Perhaps the most convincing statement I've encountered is common sense: The U.S. government couldn't hide a hotel break-in, and you want me to believe that absolutely no one connected with this has talked for nearly 40 years?

Penn and Teller did a piece on the supposed conspiracy. I believe you can view it on YouTube.

No it wasn't a hoax...if it was can u answer this question then? how is our space travel ships so high tech then? if we didn't land on the moon then we really didn't travel to space at all.

People out there are just out to cause trouble.....like roswell.....they are just stories, and not true. The moon landing was real...
