i have always got on better with guys than girls...girls can be catty and bitchy and sometimes more trouble than they are worth...when i am in male company i feel relaxed and in my comfort zone...guys don't create as much drama as girls, and i can actually have a better laugh with them because all girls do i slag off other girls who may be prettier than themselves and all they do i whine about silly things like their boyfriends or their latest rival...it's pathetic...at least when i am in the guys company i don't hear any of that.....and i can have a good time with them and i know i am safe...i have alot of male mates...in fact more male mates that female mates...i choose to be in the male company more than the girl company because i hate the drama girls create

This will sound stranfe but when I was younger (at school/college/uni) I was so shy about talking to girls because I always felt like they were intent on finding faults with guys that approached them. This continued in to adulthood too. However, I suffered a stroke 4 years ago (I was 30) and since then, for some reason, I find it so easy to feel comfortable around women and get on with them really well.

Absolutely, for the the opposite reasons to those that you mention! I far prefer the company of women. Most men seem to stop maturing emotionally at about age fourteen. I have no interest in sports, or indeed any testosterone-charged competitive behaviour. Women are far more interesting to talk to.

yeah, actually I do get along much better with women than I do with men. All my male friends are always talking about how many women they fuc*ed, how many cars they have, stuff like that, and these kinds of talk make me really sick ! That's why I'd rather spend my time with women, because they are a lot more interesting, and they understand you better when you have a personal problem...

When I lost my best friend of 41 years.....boys in school together ....and got asked to leave my home , by my wife.....I decided then , that I get on better with women.....as I was bored with al the Male Macho Sh1t !
I can beat most men at most things most of the time....but I don't want to have to keep on doing it !
My best friend is a 25 year old girl ! I am 55 years old man!
It helps that she looks good.....but there is no romance there.....just a friend to talk to and listen to , for both of us !
When she came to a strange town , on her own , with a brutish boyfriend, no family and no friends , I was there for her.....and now when I need her....she is there for me !
She has more problems than anyone else I have ever met in my life....but I can usually help her through them....or be there with her , as she deals with them herself !
I am a firm believer , in what goes around ....comes around !
Or as my mother used to say "You will get your reward in heaven !"

I'm not going to say that i prefer women over men friends. most of my friends now are men. but it is nice to have a few women as friends as that you can talk to them about stuff the men don't want to hear about. although I found with women they can stab you in the back and not think that they done anything wrong. at least with men you know it's intentional.

I have to agree, i have more male friends than females. I find women stab you in the back, get to jealous. I believe i only have 2 or 3 real women friends and that is the way i like it.

when i was younger i agreed with you but now in my mid - late 30s i realise that having a small group of like minded non competitive, strong, non judgemetnal female friends has made my life so much better and more enjoyable. no one can be as supportive as a good strong no nonsense female friend who you trust 100%. I still have my male friends but my female friends (only a few mind you, i'm very choosy) have made my life just about as good as it can get.

It's too hard to be friends with women, every day is like an episode of Dawson's Creek, they seem to have so many more problems than men do.
