I am wanting to put it in one of those plastic kiddie pools. And a lt of it. Also, any other ideas for fun and gross things to do would be appriciated. We are going to have them toss raw spaghetti at each other, raw egg races, human sundaes, water gun fight.

An easy one to do is to mix water and cornstarch. The mixture has the property of allowing your hand through it if you put it in slowly, or to be hard and crumbly if you sock it. We used to make it and sell it during high school festivals and it was really popular. There is also a several other mixtures. There is a glue-based mixture which relies on a combination of Elmer's glue and borax, which is the standard recipe that makes "slime" that is really gooey. There is also a good mix based on borax and Polyvinyl alcohol which is the really slimy one. These all work, but the PVA alcohol slime is the best for being REALLY gooey, but a little more difficult to find and make. The glue slime is good, but a bit tricky to make sure proportions are correct. Do this OUTSIDE!!! I had a slime party and made it it baggies and kicked the kids all outside to really goop it up, and it was really fun. Make some test batches to make sure you have the recipe really down. Hope this all helps.

Cornstarch And Water Pool

2016-11-12 20:26:59 · answer #3 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Flubber

Ingredients:
2 cups of white glue
1 ½ cups water at room temperature
1 cup hot water
2 ½ level tablespoons 20 Mule Team Borax
Food coloring if desired

Other Things You’ll Need:
2 mixing bowls
Mixing Spoons

Directions:
1. Combine glue and room temperature water; blend thoroughly. Add food coloring if desired.
2. In larger bowl, combine hot water and borax mixture, stirring until borax is completely dissolved.
3. Slowly pour glue mixture into borax mixture, stirring constantly.

Tips:
• The final stage may require 2 or 3 students to help stir.
• Flubber will not stick to dry surfaces, but may stick to wet or damp clothing surfaces.
• Keeps at least 5 days in an uncovered bowl, longer if bowl is covered with a damp cloth.

Suggestions and Variations:
• Children can cut Flubber with a plastic knife, tear it apart with their hands or watch it slowly “melt” off of the edge of a table.
• Make more than one color of Flubber and mix them together for a marbled effect.

As far as a slime pool, Im not sure what that consists of. But, I would also think a LARGE batch of Green Jello, for them to dive into to. Its green like slime, but would be just as sticky and fun to "Swim in" or just be in. Of course the jello should be cut in squares, and piled high within the pool Just imagine it and get your camera ready!

I agree with Jello, - get out all your pots and pans and mix it up in different colors. Next day, add it to the pool with just a bit of club soda for a bit of fizz to compliment the action. It is all edible and if you clean the pool prior to doing thin and make sure the kids are clean, sit back and have fun watching. Should be an event, get your camera out.

Well as a mother myself i would have to say the best way to go for your slime pool would be lime jello, it's cheap, fun, but then it also leads to food fights and lots of showers, but hey they'll play for hours on ends and before you know it the adults will have joined in all the fun. Hope that helps you.

I dont know how to make slime, but it sounds like a fun idea and you can make ooplik. It is just a lot of corn starch and water. If you want it to look like slime than put in green food coloring.

I use to have slime party's every year for my kids. The neighbors thought I was a little nuts. I would spend an entire day with a huge pot on the bbq boiling cornstarch, water and green food colouring. Add enough cornstarch until it is nice and thick and dump it in a swimming pool. One year I put rubber snakes in the bottom of the pool. Glad to hear I am not the only wierdo mom around.

So, this recipe is only for a small amount but I am assuming you can use like a 10 gallon paint can to mix it in and a trash bag and then pour it into one of those kiddie pools that you can get from Walmart for like 8 bucks.

ok well you'd put water in the kiddie pools and put green food dye into it. Also if you're doing human sundays, you can get HUGE chocolate syrupe things and put them into a pool, or stuff like that. I've planed a party where you have to answer questions and then if you dont get it right, you get slimed! All the kids loved that
