I've read almost all of Nicholas Sparks' books and live near New Bern, NC where he writes them! My favorite book of his is "A Walk to Remember." It makes me cry every time. I also like it because I am very familiar with Beaufort and Morehead City, so it is interesting to read about places that I visit often!

I love most of the movies too, even though the movie for A Walk to Remember was very different than the book. I think they should have left the movie set in the 1950's and included the stuff about the orphanage.

Nicholas Sparks is a very popular writer these days and he has a number of books that are widely read and enjoyed, both by me and by many others. The one that I enjoyed the most was "Dear John". I know people with Asberger's syndrome and it is interesting the way Sparks offers them a real life and thought process. It's terrific, but a little odd as well.

I loved all his books, I really can't pick a favorite. I did really like the Notebook. I read it before I saw the movie and it was really touching.
