I think it just might be the solution to the 400+ "I missed my period/my period is late/I had sex on my period/I didn't get my period on May 17th 2007 at 5:13pm as the sun was setting over the eastern shore when the 3 blue jays fly by my window and father is passed out on the couch, am I pregnant?" questions. Having no period will eliminate these questions from arising.
Who's with me?

Having their own Pregnancy section has nothing to do with it showing up all the time on Recently Asked Questions.

I agree there should be an automated response that says "See Your Doctor," if you're asking "Am I Pregnant." Those questions are pointless to ask. I understand if someone *IS* pregnant and says "I'm feeling nautious in the morning and some cramping, is this normal?" Then you can actually give a valid response to assist that person, "Yes, its known as Morning Sickness and is very common in early stages of pregnancy."

Lybrel is no solution.
Women will still be on here asking, "I am on Lybrel, and I forgot to take a pill, I had sex with my boyfriend, could I be pregnant?" or "I am on Lybrel, and I have had irregular spotting, could I be pregnant?"
I second the motion that Yahoo Answers creates an entire sub category dedicated to the "Am I Pregnant" questions. It's getting ridiculous in here.

Dream on (I don't blame you).
Women with breakthrough bleeding -- common according to the manufacturer during the first 3 to 6 months -- will still wonder aloud (eg in questions) whether they're experiencing implantation bleeding. When the breakthrough bleeding stops, or just in the absence of a period altogether, they'll wonder aloud whether they're pregnant. I'm afraid there's no way to stop those questions!
I agree with a previous answer that there should be a separate section for "Possibly Pregnant" posts. I also think there should be an automated reply to the effect of:
"1) If you are sexually active there is always a possibility of becoming pregnant.
" 2) Pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms are identical: you could be pregnant, it could be your period coming on.
" 3) No one on Y!A can tell you whether you're pregnant.
" 4) Take a home pregnancy test!"

A woman call still get pregnant on Lybrel, just as with any contraceptive pill. In fact, because you don't get your period with Lybrel, it would be even harder to tell whether you are pregnant, so the drug manufacturer is recommending that women on Lybrel be administered routine pregnancy tests every quarter or so. So, no...in fact, Lybrel will make the repetitive "Am I pregnant?" questions more numerous, not less so.

No chance! The "Am I Pregnant" contingent on this site are so woefully uninformed about biology, birth control and sex that even Lybrel would not help - unless there were some way to put all of them on it without their having to remember to take it themselves or how to take it properly.
"Am I Pregnant" should simply become its own category - with some dedicated MDs, RNs or other medically informed personnel willing to take the time every day to help these folks out.

Yeah, cause that is the answer. How healthy do you think it is to stop a woman's periods. We all hate them, but they are there for a reason. We wouldn't stop our heart or stop breathing. We were designed the way we are for a reason and the long term effects could be horrible. The FDA has been accused more than once of not doing enough clinical studies on medications and many have been recalled after people have died.
Use some common sense and stop trying to drug our society up so you don't have to listen to questions.

Obviously no birth control is the answer to those questions, because we still get the "I've been on the pill for 3 years, never missed one, my period isn't due for another week, I had sex last night and he didn't ejaculate inside me, but I spotted for 3 minutes this afternoon, the pregnancy test was negative; could I still be PG? questions.
There isn't a cure for certain types ignorance or annoyance.

I'm not sure what Lybrel is, but I think maybe you need to chill. Girls ask these questions because they need peace of mind. You have NO idea how scary it is to take a pregnancy test. People come on this forum for help, not to be chastized and ridiculed. So, I'm NOT with you on this...mostly because I'm one of the few nice people who actually wants to help others.

well thatd be good, but i think the real solution is yahoo needs to make a section titled possibly pregnant, then the people that don't want to see those questions don't have to see them,
