I've tried everything...hypnosis, patches, gum. The only thing that worked was just stopping. Every other time, after a few months or weeks I went back. After the third day it gets easier, but you will always want to smoke. Always. My grandmother stopped 30 years ago and still wants t smoke. Just realize that and be ok with it. I think all the systems are more often a crutch.

Assuming you've tried quitting cold turkey and failed . . . figure out when and where you smoke. For instance, if you always have a cigarette as soon as you roll out of bed, try to wait to have that first cigarette until after you've gotten dressed, had breakfast, etc. If you smoke when you are in the car, don't smoke in your car. Reduce the number of places and situations in which you smoke. Eventually you will have to try to go cold turkey but you can make that initial shock a little less problematic if you reduce the amount of nicotine you are inhaling.

Focus yourself. Change your daily routine.
Chew gum eat candy.
I am down to 1/2 pack a day right now.
I've changed many of the above.
Work at it.
Do you want to quit and the best way to achieve success is to take the $ that you spend on cigs and put in a jar or cup and see how much money you are wasting each day.
