Upgrade the RAM and the CPU.

RAM can play a huge part in increasing performance. Though with 512, you won't see THAT much of an increase unless you're doing LOTS of stuff with many programs open at once. The board supports up to 2 GB of RAM.

Celeron's are not known as workhorse CPUs. They are the "budget" line from Intel. A full Pentium would provide better performance, and one that supports Hyper Threading would do even better. Your motherboard supports Pentium 4 processors up to 3.06 GHz with HyperThreading (HT) support. Reference:

You can look into faster hard drives too, but that would be the most complicated way of upgrading.

Ultimately, the best performance you'll see is going to be from a new system. Pentium 4 chips are old nowadays and you'll likely have to find one on E-bay.

Definitely upgrade the RAM to at least 1 GB. You could overclock the CPU by changing the multiplier in the bios, but you will need to upgrade your cooling system drastically, and you really need to know what you are doing, as this often causes failures, as the other components also are running outside of suggested tolerances.

So simply, to be on the safe side. Upgrade you RAM!

You might be able to stick a better CPU in there, like a Pentium(tm) HT or similar, i'm not sure without checking the speck of the motherboard, but your manual will list all compatible CPU's.

From what i'm able to locate, the two processors which you at the instant have use are Socket "A". The processor which you're watching makes use of Socket AM2, and therefor won't artwork on the motherboards which you have. additionally, except you seek some place like E-bay, it is going to be very difficult to locate a processor for those motherboards. apparently that those 2 computers are approximately 6 to eight years previous, and the terrific venture to do could be to the two replace them or a minimum of replace their motherboards.

Switch from the Celeron to a full Pentium 4, the fastest your motherboard supports. then, upgrade the RAM to match the P4 speed.

Better yet, buy a new PC, it will be about the same money and you will be happier.

Get 1gb-2gb DDR2 ram
Buy a Graphics card 256mb (AGP,from the spaces im guessing it doesnt support PCIe)
And ya tha about it .

But since you have quite a good Processor why not go in for a new motherboard which supports more that 533Mhz FSB?
Go in for one which supports PCIe Graphics cards, cos of which your computer will be top notch.
If you do plan on buying a new motherboard power supply may have to be upgraded check t out wit your computer dealer/administrator.

Faster for what?? Overall speed? Games?? If you want better game performance, buy a new video card. If you want better overall speed, get rid of the Celeron processor - they are garbage.

Try to upgrade your Processor, this will lead you to checking your mother board compatibility with the newer processor that you will buy (if you are trying).
Look for Core 2 Duo processors they are great.
And check your hard, I think it's specification are:
7200 RPM, 100mbps.
Try to get a SATA drive it is much faster.
Transfere rates goes upto 1.5Gbps.
Hope it helps
