Those shots should be avoided, if at all possible. Many, many kids get very sick from them. They have even been linked to Autism and other crippling disorders.

For the first year, babies get shots at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, and a year old - which makes the grand total of the vaccinations alone to be: $1070. Now, New York subsidizes vaccines for those who don't have the coverage, and those are $17.85 each making the first years vaccines a total of about $200. This does not include the visits themselves.

If the baby is taken to a local state or county clinic, it will either be free (hence, 'free clinic') or very low cost (I think we paid $5 per shot for our son).

In NY (if you dont have medical insurance) shots are covered/payed for by the counties. I didnt have med. insurance for a few months & all I had to pay for was the wellness visit, which was like $100

Every state might be different, idk.
