HNO3(aq) + H3AsO3(aq)==> NO(g) + H3AsO4(aq) + H2O(l)

First you need to figure out the two half reactions

HNO3==>NO

H3AsO3==>H3AsO4

Next you normally would need to balance for elements other than hydrogen and oxygen but in this case everything is already balanced. So next we need to add water to balance for the oxygens

HNO3==>NO + 2H20

H20 + H3AsO3==>H3AsO4

Next I balance for hydrogens by adding hydrogen ions

3H(+) + HNO3==>NO + 2H20

H20 + H3AsO3==>H3AsO4 + 2H(+)

Then I add electrons(e-) to balance for charge

3e- + 3H(+) + HNO3==>NO + 2H20

H20 + H3AsO3==>H3AsO4 + 2H(+) + 2e-

Next I make electron change the same

2(3e- + 3H(+) + HNO3==>NO + 2H20)
6e- + 6H(+) + 2HNO3==> 2NO + 4H20

(H20 + H3AsO3==>H3AsO4 + 2H(+) + 2e-)3
3H20 + 3H3AsO3==>3H3AsO4+ 6H(+) + 6e-

next add the half reactions(notice that when adding th two all the hydrogens and all the elctrons will cancel out as well as three waters leaving only one water.

2HNO3 + 3H3AsO3 ==>2NO + 3H3AsO4 + H2O

And as for this gebobs guy below me the equation is most definitley not balance there as 5 hydrogen on the right and only 4 hydrogen on the left so i can assure you my answer is 100% correct

Hope I helped have a great day and God Bless

( HNO3 + 3e + 3H+ ==> NO + 2H2O )x2

(H2O + H3AsO3 ==> H3AsO4 +2e + 2H+ )x3

2 HNO3 +3 H3AsO3 ====> 2NO + 3 H3AsO4 + H2O
