The first fully civilised race prior to the egytians was shown but not conclusively prooven to be black african, but there is mythical tales, like the atlantean story that show white man to have been the first, but seeing as we do not have the abitlity to look that far back in time because of lack of archeological evidence, i guess we will never realy know for sure.

It is beleived that the origin of mankind was in Afrika. So much as to where they are from. I don t think that you can really say any of the "races" we designate by those names today can be said to be the first. Given the origin though, you could say that the people of dark skin color have the skin color that is closest to what it might have been at the start given the supposed origin of mankind.

Be careful when using the word "races" though because many people will argue that you can t apply that word to human society. I m not particularly keen on the word either.

The races we have today are a modern phenomenon. There may also have been racial differences among early men, but racial differences are so minor that they would not show up in fossil records. When the first "humans" emerged, there were in fact multiple species of humans living in different places, and even species distinctions are hard to recognize in fossils.

I'm going to assume you are a child, no? Who here on yahoo answers was alive then? *crickets chirping* There is no way of determining that, how would anyone know. As far as I know the earliest human fossils have been found in Africa. But again, that's like me asking what was the animal (non-human) that was born. Think!
