Lightning struck my home and now when I turn up volume to my CD player it is low. Is it speakers or CD player?

Connect a different CD players to the speakers. If the volume is still low, it's the speakers.

Connect the CD player to a different set of speakers. If the volume is still low, it's the CD player.
