I like the name Lexie personally . It has a better flair for the college atmsphere and it is a better nickname than Alexa . If you want to be called Alexa then you might as well be called Alexandra and it is very close to being called Alex or Al and I do not know how you would take it.

I like Lexie, but since you're headed to university, you might consider Alexa, instead. Lexie sound more childish (not in a bad way), while Alexa sounds mature and sophisticated.

Anything with an "x" in it sounds harsh to the ear. Keep Ally. If you need a variation, try Alli or Sandi, or Andi.
