he had helicopter rotar blades on his hat, possibly stripy trousers, and we think it might be 80's? Any other information about the bear would be great too as it may help others to identify the bear!!

Hi not sure what bear your on about, but try www.retrojunk.com. It has old tv shows, cartoons and commercials from the 70s, 80s & 90s. If it was on in the 80s chances are its on there somewhere. Good luck.

I know that this may be out of topic but when you said those descriptions, it really reminded of a cartoon I watched in cartoonnetwork way back when I was still a kid. Except the cartoon I was watching wasn't about a bear with your description but a gorilla with a purple hat and trousers with suspenders and a little bowtie. Anyway, the gorilla's name is Magilla Gorilla. Sorry for being so out of topic but it really reminded me of him. Weird....hehe ;p

well it sounds like Rupert the bear, as he wears stripey trousers, however I can't remember the rotar helicopter blades on his head, but he may of worn a hat like this in one of his many adventures!

I sort of remember the one you mean. I think it may have been an advert for something though. There's loads of good sites for 80s and cult cartoons so its bound to be on there somewhere.
