Hi
The squeal is very highly likely to be due to the backs of the pads vibrating against the caliper pistons at a very high frequency.
Dab a bit of copper grease on the contact surfaces and it should solve your problem.

There are three possible reasons:-
1) The new pads are of a harder material construction than the old ones.
2) The brake fitter did not put copper grease on the back of the pads. The vibration from the brakes working is magnified by the brake pads and callipers.
3) The brake discs has been worn in the past with groves on there surface, as a result the pads are bedding in and will stop making the noise when they are bedded.

its just the bedding in process. you can speed it up by using a sandpaper to take off the square edges on the pads, dont go too mad though. either that or it is being caused by a vibration due to something being left a little loose. also chech the new pads are not rubbing on the previously unused edges of the disc... if they are a bit rusty that will do it. whatever you dont listen to anyone who says to sandpaper the disc its self. that will cause a huge ammount of vibrations and reduce stopping distance... been a mechanic for 20+ years and specialised in brakes and suspension... hope this helps...

Re Grizz reply; there are proper materials to use for this. Don't put "grease" near the brakes

They are just wearing, dont worry about it. It will take about 200-300 miles to break them in properly.
