The easiest way to use homebrew and emulators on your psp is to have a psp that has firmware 1.5 on it you can downgrade a psp that has up to firm ware 3.10 as of now, the downgraders come out every now and then so if you have firmware 3.40 you will probably have to be a little patient. but once you do downgrade your psp it is simple to add emulators and stuff

So if you have firmware 1.50 then i would first suggest downloading custom firmware and installing that on your psp you can find it on the web just search in google for dark alex custom firm ware use an easy installer there out there, then unplug your psp from the computer and go to the option that says format memory card after that is done replug in your psp and open your psp folder you should have a bunch of new folders you did not have before
Go to the psp folder then the game150 folder and put your nes emulator and roms into that folder

you can download the nes emulator at psp-hacks.com under homebrew and emulators the best emulator out there as of now is the nester j emulator. Hope this helps another site where you can find tutorials and stuff is www.afterdawn.com that is how i learned all the stuff i know so you might wanna check this out if i didnt answer all your questions
