If it's a health problem like fungus, a messed up toe, or some other problem I'd say it's okay. It's also okay if you're at work.. It looks a LOT more professional, while still being able to be comfortable in sandals.
I think it LOOKS terrible. Especially if you're wearing black sandals and white socks (or vice versa).
Having said all that, I think it's up to each person. If you feel more comfortable with socks, wear socks.

No. Never wear socks with sandals unless you want to send a certain message. Socks just weren't made for sandals.
If you're going to wear socks with sandals, might as well throw on a turtleneck for good measure.

Nnnnoooooo! Not socks with sandels!! lol. Nope, its never ok to wear socks with sandals...it just looks weird. Show the world those beautiful toes!! Give your feet some air!!

You get unfavorable vibes via fact socks with sandals seems very undesirable. I believe the lady above that asserts that wearing socks with sandals defeats the objective of sandals. in case you prefer to cover your ft then positioned on shoes!

No it is not it looks stupid and tacky. But it's your feet so if you want to wear it like that go ahead. and when people look at you and laugh then sorry you brought it on yourself. Besides Sandals are made to show off your feet so if you have ugly feet don't wear sandals it's not pretty.

I'm a Grannie and I wear socks to keep my feet warm when they are cold and then remove them if and when I choose. but whose bloody permission do you need? Is it your feet and your socks?.
