The procedure for obtaining an employment visa from Dubai is, firstly the employer has to submit the application at Ministry of Labor for the initial approval. Normally it will take one week for the approval of visa committee, and sometimes they will forward the application to the inspection department for verification. If it happens, then it will take some more time to complete the formalities of physical inspection to the sponsors/employers establishment.

Once they approved, the Immigration dept will issue the visa on the next day.

Welcome to Dubai

It's dependent upon number of different factors,
1st The type of company you are planning to work for; i.e. it's size and industry.

Usually the processing of work permit took around 15-30 days again it varies depending upon the company and the nationality as well as the position/title of the individual.

However, most of the companies that are in real need to get you on board usually arrange for a temp. visit visa so you can come and join them asap while your work permit and residential visa are being processed.

It depends on the company mostly. Meaning, how big a firm it is and what kinda PR person they have. Usually it takes abt 15-20 days (dats wat it took me) to get my visa processed, but ofcourse i was around in Dubai only then. Don't give up as yet, just give it some more time, maybe its just takin some time.

Within 5 working days you get a temporarily visa untill your medical test is approved. After that you'll get your residence/working visa.
