you don't know some information that others know
& they think it's SO funny that you don't know it so
they laugh @ you & tell others about it too !
this happened to me @ work yesterday, I thought it
was SO rude & so immature of people to be like this.
If someone has NEVER learned about or read about something & they don't know about it then why make fun of them. Instead you should be willing to teach them about what they don't know.

hello summer.
just tell them... "The FUNNY part is that you think I give a rats rear about it. I actually have a life, and dont get caught up in these petty subjects... but what else should I expect of y'all... considering the source."
and summer, you just keep coming on back to P/S anytime you need lifted up... and just like ANYWHERE else, we have some snobs & "laugh-atters", but if you can overlook that, the rest of us will appreciate your presence & love you for it.

Yeah that's happened to me too and I find it very insulting and rude. I bet they wouldn't like it if you laughed at them for not knowing something. I think the best thing to do though when that happens, is to laugh with them and make a joke of it and don't let them see that it upsets you so much.

Actually that is so rude,, they should have taught you every thing and no to laugh at you and make fun of you,, don't worry some day you will be doing the same to one of their sons or daughters.

Not only rude, annoying. It makes me frustrated when someone refuses to share their knowledge with me. I teach people at work every day, and always try to learn something new, but when they won't share their knowledge I just want to....well, never mind, but it wouldn't be nice.

Yes, that is rude and unkind. Even if it's something common and people are surprised you don't know it, the right thing to do would be to just explain in a polite way.

it is rude and very disrespectful, people like this just need to grow up, they must have very petty and boreing lives. vent all you want, thats why we're here, maybe someday these kinds of people will mature if they don't the joke really will be on them.

It is good to 'vent' and we are just the right friends to vent to....just remember; you know things from on here that they don't know and will never know...so, actually you are one or two up on them.
They were being rude, insensitive and rotten to you. Didn't their Mothers' ever teach them respect?
Chalk it all up to life experiences....
