i think ill go with the leopard. wolves work better in packs than on their own and i'd be more terrified if i was being chased by a leopard than if it was a wolf. well thats one way of looking at it.

While I find these "who would win" animal-fight questions to be incredibly stupid and childish(I thought you had to be at least 13 to post questions or answer them on here), I have to weigh in on this one, from experience.
I used to keep exotic animals, including big cats, and I kept a pack of wolves for a behavioral research project. I had one socialized(i.e., "tame") hand-raised female wolf, "Brianna", that I took around for educational presentations. One such presentation took the two of us to Georgia, where I stayed with a good friend of mine who lived outside of Gainesville. I had set up Brianna's travel crate in the spare bedroom, where I was going to be staying. My friend had a cat, just an ordinary tortie cat she'd rescued from the pound, that lived inside. As I was leading Brianna to the room, the cat took exception, big time, and attacked my 90-pound timber wolf in the hallway. In seconds, this five-pound feline had Brianna down on the floor, and was literally ripping her to shreds-there was fur and blood flying everywhere, and Brianna was screaming like a Banshee! It took me, my friend AND her former football player husband to get the cat off of the wolf and lock it in another room, and it took me over an hour and lots of "Quik-Stop" to stop the bleeding from Brianna's ripped-up ears, plus one claw tore a two-inch long gash less than 1/8 of an inch from her right eye, leaving permanent scar. This was from a HOUSE cat, so I really would not want to imagine the carnage than my male African leopard would have wrecked on any canine, especially given that DOGS are among a leopard's favorite prey in the wild, and mine would go into that "prey-fixated stare" at the mere sight of one of the wolves, I have little doubt at the outcome of a wolf-leopard confrontation. Wolves are not as tough as movies and Jack London novels have made them out to be; they don't seem to have a whole lot of pain tolerance compared to most domesticated dogs. Mine would yelp and holler when given subcutaneous vaccinations, while most Chihuahuas won't even flinch at the same.

Definitely a leopard. No question. Sick a small pack of wolves on him, though, and then you've got a good fight.
Of course, that would be morally reprehensible, but it is still fun to think about it. :-)
