all the self pity, it was the excitement of being with someone new.well after 9 mths with this other woman how could it still be exciting. he said he felt like she would do anything he asked,drop her plans in an instant to see him. don't you think he was falling in love with her come on after 9 mths fooling around with the same person. called her everyday sometimes 40 times a day. or was he obsessesed with her.never showed any signs of guilt during the time i never suspected anything.basically admitted to me he felt guilt sometimes i couldn't live with myself if i had done this.she was 13 yrs older than he. was it an ego kick or what.obviously he enjoyed being with her more having sex or talking on the phone. his only regret is that he got caught. she had told him you are not going to quit calling me or seeing me, so he didn't.sounds like she was emotionally involved or trying to break our marriage up what do you think

Well Jackie I went through this too. I'm sorry to say I think it's am ego booster. For all intents, it didn't work and almost broke our marriage up. It did break the other marriage up. It was many years ago but, still like yesterday, Hope you work things out, take care and good luck.

Yes your right, your husband is emotionally involved with her, not her emotionally with him. Most men will not show guilt or remorse when they're having an affair. And it's true the excitement of doing it to another woman thrilled them. His excuse of being immature and selfish is a lot of bull, maybe he is this the first time he slept with her, but not for that long.
Do yourself a favor sweetie, it's time for you to think about you now, if your husband can not and don't want to stop cheating on you, tell him to do it legally and don't let him drag your life this way. No one deserve this kind of life esp. you, think it very hard and ask yourself if you want out of this roller coaster life from him. Try to be strong and don't let him fool you anymore!!

I think she probably treated him like a king. She was significantly older then he is and probably was very attentive to whatever he wanted. Not saying that you are not. I think the reason guys cheat is they feel insecure, they need validation that they are still men and attractive, and alot of the women they cheat with will do things the wife will not do, nor would they expect their wife to do. Some people have sides to them they would not show their family for fear of embarrassment. There is never any good excuse to cheat, I'd wager he does not love the other woman but if my woman did that to me, I would be so gone, so fast and I would never look back. Good Luck.
